Red Hood is a DC Comics character most recognized as the resurrected Jason Todd. He was initially the second Robin, Batman's sidekick, debuting as such in *Batman* #357 (1983).
Jason Todd's Robin met a tragic end at the hands of the Joker. In the comics, he was infamously killed after readers voted for his demise. Years later, he was resurrected through the Lazarus Pit, a mystical source of rejuvenation.
Upon his return, Jason adopted the persona of the Red Hood, a former alias of the Joker himself. As Red Hood, he operates outside the boundaries of Batman's moral code, employing lethal methods to fight crime. This often brings him into direct conflict with Batman and other members of the Bat-Family.
The Red Hood represents a complex and often morally ambiguous figure within the Batman mythos. He seeks justice but chooses a path that challenges Batman's principles, making him a formidable anti-hero.
